Concluding 31 days of Proverbs

Ended a month in Proverbs. Contrasts. The unwise vs. the wise. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. If you forget the beginning, wisdom is the path back to the beginning.

When choosing and making decisions that are clearly in the opposite direction of God’s desire and plan, there are three recourses: 1) Turn back, deliver yourself from those decisions, and make wise decisions; 2) modify what you believe, which is unwise; and 3) abandon what you believe, which is foolishness.

The Proverbs has two basic tracks: First, they are to keep you on the path that is wise in the first place and, second, to help you get back to the beginning when you foolishly disregard wisdom.

Wisdom is the path of God’s desire and plan; returning to the beginning, returning to the fear of the Lord, is wisdom.
